Yamaha Portable Keyboards

Portable Keyboard Reviews

Portable Keyboards are just like how they sound: keyboards that are easily transported or carried around. Portable is kind of an all-encompassing term that can also include synthesizers and workstations, but generally portable keyboards are going to be smaller and more affordable than other varieties of electric pianos.

Yamaha digital piano

Digital Piano Reviews

Digital Pianos are less like the keyboards you see in electronic stores and more like an electronic version of a full scale piano. Therefore, you aren’t likely to find digital pianos that have less than 88 keys. If you want the sound, feel, and function of an acoustic piano, digital pianos are great because they allow you to adjust the volume, transport it more easily, and save space in your home. Digital pianos are great if you really just plan on using a limited amount of voices. Most digital pianos only come with 10-20 extra voices (grand piano, organ, harpsichord, etc) and don’t have some of the more exotic voices like accordion, harmonica or animal noises that you might find on keyboards or synths.

Yamaha Synthesizer Workstation

Synthesizer Workstation Reviews

Synthesizer Workstations are geared for DJs and people who want to start creating music, but not necessarily with a basic, acoustic piano sound. These instruments are easily compatible with computers so recording music is much easier on a synthesizer workstation. Synthesizer Workstations will feature the broadest amount of sounds and voices and high quality models will allow you to upload new sounds and voices through your computer. Therefore, a lot of synthesizer workstations have internet connectivity.
