The Yamaha MM6 is a synthesizer workstation in the “M” line that Yamaha introduced some time ago. I don’t own a synthesizer yet but I am looking to acquire one so I played around with the MM6 and the MM8 at my local music store yesterday. I have to say that the MM8 is definitely the better model but of course it is more expensive and is an 88-key compared to the 61 keys that the MM6 has. When shopping for a synthesizer, you should realize that you get what you pay for. But oftentimes, some of the functionality of a cheaper keyboard can be expanded by buying expansion kits or downloading additionaly voices.
Alright this is the first review I have done on a product that is NOT manufactured by Yamaha. But the truth is, I don’t own a Yamaha keyboard stand. Now, Yamaha does make keyboard stands but I haven’t ever used one. Most keyboard stands are pretty versatile so you probably will only need one unless you have multiple setups. I don’t perform so I don’t have no need to have more than one for multiple setups.
Everyone needs to buy a keyboard bench alond side their new instrument. Using a stool or a chair from your house usually won’t cut it because you can adjust the height to your liking. The Yamaha PKBB1 Bench is great because of its adjustable height, it ability to fold flat for traveling, and its thick padding that provides ultimate comfort and variability.
For those of you who already own a keyboard or digital piano, your instrument most likely has an input for a sustain pedal. Even if you are in the market to buy your keyboard or piano, you may want to buy a sustain pedal alongside it so you can extra expression to your music.
Overview
The P-155 Digital Piano is an instrument made by Yahama, that, up to this point, is the highest quality digital piano that I have reviewed on this site. It has all the capabilities of the models below it (NP-30, P85, P140)and is going to be marketed towards the intermediate to more experienced musician.
